Caricatures – Hugo à la Une: a major exhibition dedicated to one of the most renowned French writers!
Victor Hugo is one of the most famous French writers of all times. This 19th century master of French literature is indeed the author of legendary novels such as “The Hunchback of Notre-Dame” and “Les Misérables”. He left behind him a monumental work, reflecting his many interests: writing but also drawing, painting and photography.
If you wish to learn more about this great man of letters, then go to 6, place des Vosges – the oldest of Paris – which is located in the Marais district, where Hugo rented a flat from 1832 to 1848. Today the house hosts a museum dedicated to the famous writer, the visit of which allows people to enter Hugo’s world and enjoy temporary exhibitions as well. A great occasion to discover until January 6th, 2019, “Caricatures – Hugo à la Une” that presents a selection of more than 150 caricatures presented to the public for the first time.
